We use this tongue-in-cheek reference to challenge you to stretch your lake management knowledge.
In each ILMS newsletter (and on our website), we will provide you with a photograph which displays lake management on-the-fly. Each photograph will test your knowledge of lake management, Indiana lake laws, and common sense.
Use your knowledge and sleuthing skills to identify the lake management issues displayed and input your thoughts on the problems displayed in the photograph.
For each correct answer, we’ll enter you into our drawing which will occur at the end of the year. Prizes include a scholarship (including registration, one-year ILMS membership, and up to $200 in hotel and mileage reimbursement) to the 23rd annual Indiana Lakes Management Conference at Pokagon State Park on March 24-26, 2011, an ILMS fleece, and an ILMS polo shirt.
The following newsletter will detail the problems associated with the previous newsletter’s photograph and suggest alternate lake management choices which should result in better water quality, habitat, and overall lake ecology.
